Eric Gaston Photography | Refocusing

It's such a nice day outside.  55 degrees here in February.  It was too nice to stay inside this morning, so I took a trip out to Canoe Creek State Park.  There was no wind, so the water was like a mirror.  Unfortunately there was nothing pretty to reflect.  Brown trees and a gray sky.  I thought I'd walk away without seeing anything worthwhile to photograph until I walked past some spots of vibrant green moss along the brown muddy path.  My initial focus was the water and the sky, but it wasn't until I turned my attention to the ground that I ended up getting a shot that I'm happy with.
